NateMail not going to customer's email

Postby thinkwelldesigns » 10/04/2005 @ 22:09

I am using NateMail for a website and I have tested it using two of my email addresses and I get the emails to both addresses.

For some reason, however, when I put my customer's email address in with as a recipient, he doesn't recieve the emails, but I still do. I have his email address number key included in the required hidden field.

The only thing I can think of is that his spam filter must be blocking them. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

It might be his spam filter, or the mail server (that the script is trying to use) is rejecting the recipient address. Is the customer's email address hosted on the same server or domain as the script? There are a few hosts that will require that. Also, does the email get to them if they're the only recipient for the form?

I have tried two other email addresses that are not the same and the domain name and everything works.

His email is not domain name email, so that can't be the problem. It must be spam....

That is all I can think of, but I thought I would make sure and post a question here.

Where in the script can I set it up so the customer is automatically a recipient and is sent an email? Using ProcessForm 3.0.11, thanks

You mean an auto reply to the address of the person filling out the form? I didn't add that feature to either NateMail or ProcessForm for security reasons. Generally wouldn't want the script to be able to send to an address that isn't in the approved recipient list.

No problem - it's an oft-requested feature, and I wish I could add it, but it would make it easy for someone to hijack the form for spamming :-(
